Caliente LAND O’LAKES — Caliente Resorts, often billed as the “Ritz-Carlton” of Pasco County nudist resorts, has been temporarily suspended from the American Association for Nude Recreation.

The suspension is over allegations that Caliente had been associating itself with swingers groups through third-party Web sites, said Doug Butler, president of the Caliente masters association, which represents the hundreds of homeowners and condo owners who live near the resort.

3 Day Wilderness Canuding Trip

AANR-SW is sponsoring a 3-day, 2 night, wilderness canuding trip on
the Rio Grande River in the canyons of Big Bend National Park. This
is a fully supported and guided trip by professional river guides.
Participation is for AANR members only and is limited to 20
individuals. Trip is scheduled for late October 2008. Last year we
saw no other people from lunch the 1st day until the take-out the 3rd
day, a perfect nudist wilderness experience.

For additional information contact sandyt36@sbcglobal.net.

AANR-SW supports this canuding trip because it provides an
opportunity for AANR members to participate in a unique form of nude
recreation. AANR-SW permits advertisement of the canuding trip to
AANR members for promotional purposes only. AANR-SW assumes no
responsibility for the coordination, management, or operation of the
trip and assumes no responsibility for the safety of persons or
property going on such trip.

Lake Como adds new RV park

February 08, 2008 By: USAnudist Category: Club Activities, Nudist News Comments Off

After years of planning, Lake Como has added a new RV/Mobile Home section.  For many years, Lake Como, Florida’s oldest nudist resort,  was known for its friendly atmosphere, and in the same breath the caveat “but it’s very rustic”.  In the past 5 years, they have added state of the art tennis complex and now have developed a new RV & Mobile Home park in what was once a dying orange grove.

While the new development takes some of the “rustic” away, I’m sure Lake Como will remain a friendly  place for nudists.  Lake Como has a special place in the heart on many nudists, and we all applaud the continuation of their progress.

Berkshire Vista - Seasonal Lots Availble

As many of the readers may already know, the Berkshire Vista Nudist
Resort {AANR-East, Massachusetts (USA)} was considering leaving the nudist
resort business in late 2006 and early 2007 due to a variety of
factors. In early 2007 they announced to the membership that operations as a
nudist resort may not continue after the end of the 2008 season.

Since then however, they have abandoned this change and in early
September ‘07 they announced to their membership that they will continue into
the 2008 season, and beyond, as a nudist resort. (more…)

Travelites’ 20th birthday event report & upcoming

June 10, 2007 By: Cheri Category: Club Activities Comments Off

Members traveled from Raleigh as well as from Elgin, Williston, Augusta, and of course, the Columbia area to help Travelites celebrate their 20th birthday. The weather was perfect; there was plenty of sun and shade in which to relax and enjoy the camaraderie.

The volleyball net was up, the horseshoes were waiting, the bolder toss game was well used, the cool water from the well felt great on this typical southern June day.

We took a moment to remember Dan Wilburn, our friend from Carolina Foothills, and toasted to his memory.

There were no issues to bring up during the Membership Meeting other than election of our member delegate to the Regional convention being held July 20-14 at SunnyRest in Mohon, PA. Ray Simpson was elected to carry our vote to the northeast during Nude Recreation Week when some club members will be enjoying the hospitality of Whispering Pines (www.whisperingpinesnudistresort.com) for our annual canoe trip.

The hamburgers and all fixings and accompaniments were fantastic: From the macaroni and cheese to the curried squash to the ice cream and dark chocolate/raspberry brownie cake. No one left hungary.

Some bid on the on-going auction to help the Naturist Action Committee, the American Association for Nude Recreation Education Foundation, the American Nudist Research Library, and Sistercare,
a charity for abused women and their children. The updates can be found at the bottom of this email as well as online at: http://pages.prodigy.net/travelites/_wsn/page7.html
The auction will conclude on August 4th at our Toga party (togas are optional).

Our next event will be a Full Moon party on Saturday, June 30th at our property. It will be a potluck supper starting about 3 with potluck about 6:30. Please RSVP by June 27th. This will be followed by the Independence Day celebration at Cedar Creek on July 7th.
Hugs, Cheri
