Berkshire Vista - Seasonal Lots Availble

As many of the readers may already know, the Berkshire Vista Nudist
Resort {AANR-East, Massachusetts (USA)} was considering leaving the nudist
resort business in late 2006 and early 2007 due to a variety of
factors. In early 2007 they announced to the membership that operations as a
nudist resort may not continue after the end of the 2008 season.

Since then however, they have abandoned this change and in early
September ‘07 they announced to their membership that they will continue into
the 2008 season, and beyond, as a nudist resort. (more…)

In our goverment’s misguided quest to fight terrorism, we have endured intelligence agencies monitoring our phone calls, reading our emails and mail, and suffered many assaults on our constitutional and personal rights in the name of the Patriot Act.

What better way to prove your patriotism than to give up your modesty for your country.
Not only would it speed up airline check-in, it would eliminate standing around the baggage carrousel. Everything you needed (a few clean changes of towels) could be carried in small carry-ons. And with this, the environmental impact as people save energy by having less laundry to do, less fuel used, and less air conditioning.

Other benefits would be the added respect from the people of other countries, which has been declining for 5 years. Tourism would increase to U.S. destinations when all beaches became nude beaches. Pornography would lose a lot of its appeal when people realized there is nothing sexual about nude bodies.

Robert Heinlein wrote a story of alien invasion in 1951, The Puppet Masters in which mandatory nudity was required as the only way to detect alien parasites attached to human bodies.

Imagine a world where instead of sticking patriotic flags, banners, and ribbons on our rear bumpers, we all show our patriotism by our actions.

Trustees And Clubs Weekly Report

Plans Underway for November Board Meeting
Yesterday a team from the AANR office met with Ted Hadley, Regis, and others of the Cypress Cove staff to make arrangements for the fall Board of Trustees meeting in November. The weekend theme will be “The Fabulous 50’s” and will include entertainment by The Dukes, an era band of considerable local renown. Please read Carolyn Hawkins’ report below for more information.

Canaveral National Seashore Update
Within the past several weeks, we have received reports about stepped up warnings and law enforcement activity on Playalinda Beach (on the Brevard County, Florida, side of the Canaveral National Seashore). With help from AANR-Florida Vice President and Government Affairs Team leader Hugh Williams and a local contingent from the seashore, we have arranged for a meeting with local law enforcement to discuss the matter.

On Deck For The Cure
On the recent Bare Necessities Fire & Ice nude cruise to Alaska, 500 passengers geared up for the Susan G. Komen 5K walk for Holland America’s “On Deck For The Cure.” Holland America has committed to raise $250,000 per year for the Susan G. Komen For The Cure breast cancer foundation. In February, Bare Necessities cruisers broke the participation record with almost 800 walkers and currently hold the participation record for “On Deck For The Cure” on Holland America ships, something for which all nudists should be proud.

Nude Geezers Calendar Just For Fun
A group of men over 60 have bared all for the 2008 Nude Geezers Calendar. What makes this calendar different from all the other nude calendars that have hit the market in recent years? “Fun and profit,” says 68-year-old Pete Bassin, who appears on the cover on a white horse wearing only boots, hat and bandana. “We each get 5% of the take and some of us could really use the money.”

The calendar was the brainchild of Madrid, New Mexico, photographer Doug Wesley, who just turned 60. He calls the calendar project “a rewarding experience” and the men who posed strong, confident and good-looking. The project was filmed in Madrid, the setting for last year’s popular Disney movie, “Wild Hogs.”

AANR’s presence at the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) once again proved to be a success story for nude recreation.
NCSL is the largest, most prestigious meeting of state lawmakers and their staff in the nation. AANR has exhibited at NCSL for the past 15 years, building valuable partnerships and fostering good relationships that support AANR’s mission.

According to NCSL Exhibit Manager Leann Hoff:

9,117 legislative officials and staff, advocates, and interested parties attended
1,957 state, providence, and government legislators were included in the total number of attendees
1,642 legislative staff members shared in the total attendees reported
